Mrs. K.S. Shila  is the founder of Siddha Maruthuva N Ayurvedic Pte Ltd and is also the lead physician who has been practicing siddha medicine for the past 23 years. The natural medicine interest started at early age and she had strong influence from her mother who had been doing postnatal massage and baby massage for women and infants in the olden kampung days in Singapore. Her mother had always used home remedies to cure simple illnesses like the common cough and cold, skin disorders, headaches, urinary tract infection, jaundice and joint aches which were very effective and was always fascinated in nature’s power to cure illness.

Mrs. K.S. Shila is has been practicing, conducting talks and sharing her knowledge successfully to both locals and foreigners. With her vast knowledge and experience she has established herself with a good name in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and even in Indonesia. She  is reputed for daily health tips on using simple home remedies which she has been presenting over the past 6 years on Media Corporation, Oli96.8. These tips include spices /vegetables, like pepper, cinnamon bark, cardamom, fenugreek, garlic, ginger, shallots, aloe vera which could be used as medicine for ailments like constipation, flatulence, indigestion, hair loss, Joint ache, Skin disorders, etc. She also very popular for her massages, which and exclusively for ladies of all ages and also for sports injury massage (application of medicinal oil and herbs)

Mrs. K.S. Shilais professionally qualified in Siddha / Ayurvedic medicine from University for Siddha Medical Sciences( India). She is also a Registered International Bach Flower Remedies Practitioner in United Kingdom. Post Graduate course in Homeopathy Medicine in Singapore, under The British Institute of Homeopathy, USA. As well Diploma in Traditional Massotherapyfrom Chengdu TCM University  (China) and mastered the art Chinese Acupressure Baby Massage, Post Natal Massage and Foot Reflexology from WDA. She also attained Diploma in Diet & Nutrition for Complementary Therapists (UK) and Diploma in Indian Head Massage (UK)

On completion of her Degree with the Open University for Siddha Medical Sciences in Chennai, She had an opportunity to practice with Dr. R. Kannan in Tambaram Poly Clinic (which is a India based in government hospital), which was an additional asset to the list of experience. She has further enhanced the art of healing in Siddha System under (Physician) VaithiyarMurugesan who is reputed for healing various ailments like Asthma, Paralysis, Psoriasis, Gangrene and Leucoderma, Infertility.

Also, being a disciple of VaithiyarRamalingam, who is an expert in Pulse Reading Tactics, Mrs. K. S. Shila has mastered the art of ‘Pulse Diagnosis’ which is very unique in Siddha Diagnosis’.  The pulse reading consist of Vatham, Pitham and Kapam that is the three humours play important role in different functions of the body call Uyirthathu (Physiology).

Disturbance in equilibrium of uyirthathu is call Mukkuttrum (Pathology). The Diagnosis, treatment and preventive care are based on three humours. She has also mastered the art of Varmam(a Indian term meaning "art of vital points) under the guidance of Dr. Chidambaram Pillai who belongs to a family of native doctors and scholars for forty-four generations.

Her in-depth knowledge and experiences has led to confidently combined   new tactic of massage which is a combination of both Indian Art of Massage as well as Chinese Acupressure. Also she uses Bach flower Remedies which is a unique approach to healing and it balances emotions and treats negative mental states.
